Tinubu poised to secure Nigeria -Defence minister

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to crush and end all forms of insecurity nationwide, the minister of defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has said.

The minister, who stated this in Katsina when he paid courtesy visit to the Katsina state governor, Alhaji Dikko Umar Radda, at Government House in Katsina, informed the governor and people of the state that President Tinubu would do his best to tackle the inherited security challenges in the North-west axis and other parts of the country.

The minister was in Katsina state on a official working visit to military formations and was received at the Government House by the deputy governor, Alhaji Faruku Lawan.

He told the governor that he came to Katsina state to visit troops in their formations, assess their operational modalities and see how best to encourage them.

Abubakar pointed out that in view of the approaching farming season, there was need to put all hands on deck to make sure farmers feel free to farm and not threatened by bandits.

The minister stated that the Ministry of Defence, together with other federal government defence related agencies, will partner with Katsina state government to end insecurity in the state.

In his response, the deputy governor, Alhaji Faruk Lawan on behalf of the state governor extended his appreciation to the ministry of defence for its tireless and enduring support.
