Tinubu in a hurry to fix Nigeria – Arewa Think Tank

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in a hurry to fix Nigeria, take it out of socio-economic doldrums he inherited from the previous government and build a better country for everyone, Arewa Think Tank has said.

Speaking in Kaduna Wednesday, the group said recent events across the country were good indicators that a better and prosperous Nigeria where every citizen will be proud to belong and identify with the country’s leadership is in the offing.

The group noted that the events have shown Tinubu’s commitment to approve a national minimum wage higher than the N60,000 offered, while he has directed the Finance Minister, Wale Edun, to present a detailed cost analysis for the proposed new minimum wage within two days.

Chief convener of Arewa Think Tank, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, said in a statement that the strikes by the Nigerian Air Force which destroyed terrorists’ enclave in Giwa local government of Kaduna state was one of such events.

He added that honouring distinguished playwright, poet and novelist, Prof. Wole Soyinka who brought honour and fame to Nigeria as the first African to win the Nobel Literature Prize, by naming a major Abuja Highway after him was one of the indicators that the president is out to make the country work better.
