Third bomb blast hits Zamfara in one week

Communities in Maru Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara state hava witnessed another bomb blast which is the third of its kind in one week.

The third incident occurred on Friday along Gusau to Dansadau major road when a lorry loaded with grains stepped on the bombs allegedly planted by the terrorists bandits.

Reports indicated that the two bombs went off simultaneously but no life was lost.

Resident in the area identified as Malam Sani Manniru who was in the lorry when the incident occurred in a telephone interview with Blueprint spoke of how the two bombs went off simultaneously.

His words, “I was in the lorry together with other passengers when suddenly an explosive devices believed to have been planted by bandits went of on the road”.

According to him, one of the bombs went off on the road between Dansadau and Malamawa and another one went off on Malele road in the same axis.

However, the police authority could not be reached by Blueprint correspondent as at the time of filling this report.
