For stealing motor parts worth N40, 000, a 20-year-old Gafari Mukaila, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by an Osun state Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Osogbo, Thursday.
The prosecutor, Mr. Olayiwwola Rasaq, told the court that the convict committed the offence on March 18, 2020 at about 12:00pm at Gbeja Area, Oke-Baale, Osogbo.
He said the convict jumped through fence into the compound of one Agboola Akeem and stole four pieces of motor parts valued N40,000.
The convict who has no legal representation admitted guilt to a count charge of stealing preferred against him by the police.
The offence, according to the charge sheet, was contrary to and punishable under section 390(9) Cap 34, Vol II, law of Osun state, 2002.
Magistrate Risikat Olayemi sentenced him to six months imprisonment in Ilesa Correctional Centre.
