Taxpro Max platform allows taxpayers engage in online services-FIRS

Federal Inland Revenue Service FIRS has said the development of Taxpro Max platform was designed to allow taxpayers to file returns and access various tax services online.

The Executive Chairman FIRS, Zacch Adedeji who disclosed this in Lagos at Private Sector Stakeholders Engagement organised jointly by LCCI and FIRS said FIRS suite of e-services—including e-filing, e-reporting, e-registration, and e-TCC—demonstrates its commitment to facilitating easy and efficient tax management.

Speaking on the theme :’Emerging Tax Matters” Adedeji said that FIRS has also  established a robust data management division to ensure accurate assessments and strategic planning, leveraging data analytics to enhance our tax administration.

Adedeji who was represented by Acting Director, Medium Taxpayer Department-South, Mrs Oti Olaniyi said that tax education and public awareness are vital for fostering a culture of tax compliance, nothing that taxpayer education campaigns help citizens understand their tax obligations and the benefits of tax revenue.

He stated that our tax system, a foundational element of economic policy, was undergoing significant reforms and  these changes are driven by the need for increased revenue, better compliance, and more equitable economic practices.

These reforms according to him  are essential to meet with emerging tax issues and also commensurate with the fiscal tax reforms being handled by the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee.
