In a statement signed personally by the party9 national chairman, Engr. Yusuf Sani, said the commendable move by the President may be short lived unless the anti-graft war is taken to the military and the NNPC.

The statement reads: “The indictment of Dr. Babatunde Fowler, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service ( FIRS ), the nations flagship agency for revenue generation and the on going probe of the Head of Service of the Federation; Mrs. Eyo-Ita (the nation’s number one civil servant) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC are germane and heart warming to all concern Nigerians.

“We are however worried that this commendable move against corruption by Mr. President may be short lived as Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation ( NNPC ) and the Nigerian Armed Forces, the two most critical government outfits that represent the hub of corruption in Nigeria are not touched.”
