Supporters Club organises Independence day sports funfair

Members of Nigeria Football Supporters Club will Tuesday converge on the National stadium, Lagos for a series of sports activities to commemorate Nigeria’s 59th Independence anniversary.

According to the National Chairman of NFSC, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, the club members, as well as, family members will be involved in endurance walk from the club’s secretariat at Ayinde Giwa, Surulere to the National stadium also in Surulere.

Thereafter, at the stadium, members of the club will engage the executives in a novelty football match.

“We have arranged a series of sports activities to commemorate and celebrate our country’s 59th independence anniversary, ” the amiable football enthusiast disclosed.

“There would endurance walk from our headquarters in Surulere to the national stadium where we shall have a novelty football match. We want members of the public to come out and watch us display our football skills learned over several years,” he added.

The endurance walk begins 2pm, while the football match is scheduled for 4 pm.
