Super Eagles Midfield Player, Mr Frank Onyeka, has taken a bold step towards encouraging budding talents in Abia state with a donation of ₦1,000,000 to grassroots football clubs.
The benefitting clubs from his hometown, Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia state, included Bohold FC, Temper Coolers FC and Umuobasi FC.
The International Player while presenting the largesse including jerseys through his uncle, Mr Obinna Eze, said he was committed to discovering, nurturing and assisting talented youth to achieve their goals in soccer worldwide.
Onyeka, who joined German bundesliga side Augsburg on loan from English premier league side Brentford in the beginning of the current season, also donated a set of Augsburg customized jersey to Bohold FC for winning Ambassador Eziaha Uwaezuoke Football Championship first edition held in 2024.
Onyeka is also a member of National team and among the key players who helped the Super Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the upcoming Afcon 2025 that will be held in Morroco.
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting grassroots football clubs, the President of Bohold FC Umunneochi, Eze Onyemaechi Micheal, thanked the Super Eagles star player for his kind gesture and urged God to continue to lift him higher in his football career.
