Borno state Police Command has confi rmed that two persons were killed and eleven others injured in a suicide bombing attack in Maiduguri. A statement issued yesterday by ASP Murtala R. Ibrahim, PPRO Borno state police command stated in part “today 23/7/2017, at about 13.45 pms a male suicide bomber with IED strapped on his body, moved towards SARS Armoured Personnel Carrier patrol team at Muna garage area. “In an attempt to gun him down, the IED exploded killing the bomber and a civilian whose identity was not immediately known, while 7 civilians and four SARS personnel were injured.” “Armoured vehicle suff ered damage as a result of the blast.
