Strike: Doctors on duty to attend to patients – NMA

Following the recent declaration of a nationwide strike by the organised labour, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has said doctors will be at their duty post to attend to patients for healthcare delivery.

The national secretary of NMA, Dr. Benjamin Egbo, stated this in a press release Tuesday in Abuja, adding that  they share the pains and hardships Nigerians are currently grappling with.

He stated that NMA is an affiliate of the organised labour in Nigeria and it has not declared a strike action.

The NMA uses this avenue to call on government as well as all stakeholders to consider the plight of the average Nigerian and do everything possible to address the issues that have led to the present impasse.
