The Nigerian Stock Exchange trading result showed that Market Capitalisation of listed equities appreciated by 0.83 per cent to N16.063 trillion from N15.931 trillion reported the previous day.
The NSE All Share Index also appreciated by 254.08 basis points to 30733.47 points from 30479.39 points traded on Monday.
Investors traded 336.094 million shares valued at N3.890 billion in 5575 deals against 376.653 million shares worth N3.802 billion in 6050 deals.
An analysis of the investment showed that Dangote Cement led gainers table during the day, increasing by N9.00 to close at N169.00, Cap Plc followed with a gain of N1.95 kobo to close at N22.30 kobo, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc gained
N0.35 kobo to close at N6.75 kobo, Dangote Sugar Refinery Nigeria Plc added N0.25 kobo to close at N15.40 kobo, Oando Plc gained N0.18 kobo to close at N2.75 kobo.
On the contrary, Guaranty Trust Bank topped losers chart, during the day, declining by N0.50 kobo to close at N32.00, Stanbic IBTC trailed with a loss of N0.50 kobo to close at N46.00, Guinness Nigeria Plc dipped by N0.45 kobo to close at N16.55 kobo, Custodian Investment dipped by N0.45 kobo to close at N5.60 kobo while Flour Mills Nigeria Plc sheds N0.45 kobo to close at N28.40 kobo.
The result also indicated that Zenith Bank was the toast of investors accounting for 41.102 million shares valued at N895.649 million, FBNHoldings followed with a gain of 40.621 million shares worth N258.041 million, United Bank for Africa traded 32.132 million shares cost N242.861 million, Fidelity Bank sold a total of 31.923 million shares cost N77.984 million while Access Bank exchanged 28.885 million shares valued at N232.046 million.
