Immediate past Senate Leader and a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Oyo state, Senator Teslim Folarin, on Wednesday, said South West geo-political zone will benefit more dividends of democracy with the PDP at federal and states levels in 2015.
Folarin stated this while addressing PDP stakeholders and members from across Egbeda local government area of Oyo State.
He said for Nigerians particularly the South-west people to continue to reap more dividend of democracy, the people must vote for PDP during the general elections.
According to the PDP governorship aspirant, there is the need for the re election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 as well as voting in the PDP in the Oyo state during the general elections.
“Nigerians should by now realise that it is necessary for the people of Nigeria to know that PDP is the only party that can wipe out poverty in the country. if Jonathan is returned in 2015, the people of South West would have the hope to benefit more than they are presently enjoying,” he said.
Folarin added that presently, the achievements of President Jonathan led administration to include the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ibadan-Ilorin expressway, among others.
He also disclosed that President Jonathan is committed to conducting. free, fair and acceptable elections in 2015 with the one man, one vote policy, adding that the only way to send back the APC-led government in Oyo state is for the people to use their votes to reject the party at the polls.
Speaking further, the PDP governorship aspirants stressed that PDP is set to rescue the people of Oyo state from the present hardship visited on them by the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the state.
Folarin assured the people of the local government and the state in general of more dividends of democracy under a PDP rule as against the sufferings they are currently witnessing under the present APC-led administration policies in the state.
