Soludo urges FG’s intervention on repair of Onitsha-Owerri road

The Anambra state governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Monday appealed for quick intervention of the federal government in fixing the washed-off portion of the Onitsha-Owerri Road by Oba in Idemili South local government area.

Soludo, who stated this while inspecting one portion of the road which was completely cut off by erosion argued that fixing it would help speed up vehicular movements to and fro Anambra and Imo states.

The governor, represented by his chief of staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, and entourage, said the state government will carry out emergency works on the site.

“We are appealing to the federal government to quickly intervene and save this road from total collapse,” Mr. Ezeajughi said.
