Sokoto governor swears-in 5 new permanent secretaries

As part of effort to rejuvenate and make civil service in the state more effective, the Sokoto state governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, has on Thursday sworn in five new permanent secretaries

The newly appointed permanent secretaries included Barrister Hadiza Sahabi Jaredi, Maryam Ahmed Barade
Abubakar S. Fada Tambuwal, Muhammed Bello Ibrahim and Idris Musa

Speaking while swearing in the new permanent secretaries, governor Ahmed Aliyu charged to bring their expertise and experience to bear in their respective areas of assignments

The governor also said that their appointments reflect administration’s commitment to effective governance and public service delivery.

“As permanent secretaries, responsible to spearhead certain ministries, you’re expected to bring your experience and expertise to bear in implementation of government policies and programs,”

He said that their leadership role will be crucial in addressing the state’s challenges and improving the lives of citizens.

He also charged them to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and accountability in their respective ministries.

He however, reminded them of the need to work harmoniously with other government officials to achieve the state’s goals.

The permanent secretaries were also urged to prioritize the welfare of citizens, ensuring that government policies and programs are implemented effectively.

He assured them of his administration’s support and resources needed to excel in their duties

“With these appointments, the administration is poised to achieve significant milestones in the coming months,”
