He said, “I started my football career from my early time, as far back as 1986-1987, I was representing Benue state when we part of Kogi state was under Benue but at a point I had injury at my early playing time and I love the game, so I have to go straight to coaching school were I graduated with distinction but even before that I started coaching some clubs.
“I was at Enyimba as a coach, I was the youngest all over country’s premiership level. I was 31 years old then, that was in 2001. Godwin was with me, even the present goalkeeper of Kwara United Dele Ayenugba was our first choice, Vincent was third…
“I went back to Lagos for my more coaching course between 2005 and 2006.”
On his peak coaching target, he said, “My target is to handle one of the National teams sometimes in the future… that has been my prayer, that’s why you can see my boys are very young so we’re working very hard. If God permits, I have the capacity to do it and at my age, I am just 53, so I am still very young, I don’t teach players and sit-down, I teach them what I can do, at a point I teach them and they do it with them.
“If any of the Premier League clubs invite me, at whatever position, I can still go and impact my own knowledge, at least to contribute to my quota as far as the round object is concerned, both to the team and to the country in general.
