Show no mercy to Boko Haram remnants, Army commander tells Troops

The Theatre Commanding Officer, Operation Lafiya Dole, of the Nigerian Army, Major General Olusegun Adeniyi, has charged officers of the
theatre not to show any mercy to remnants of Boko Haram insurgents so as to end the fight.

Major General Adeniyi, disclosed this Tuesday when he paid a visit to headquarters of Sector 2 Operation Lafiya Dole in Damaturu, Yobe state.

“Don’t show any kind mercy to Boko Haram insurgents and people supporting their activities, all the commanding officers would lead you to deal with the nonsense Boko Haram,” he said.

The Commanding Officer said, “it is the right time to end all the activities of the Boko Haram insurgents in the North-east and the country as a whole.” 

Major General Adeniyi, was in Damaturu to boost the gallant solders and to give them a simple message in regards to Boko Haram activities, saying it is part of their constitutional duty to eliminate any thing that would bring setbacks to Nigerians and the country as a whole.

The commanding officer promised to support the officers with all the necessary supports when the need arises.

He was accompanied by GOC, 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation Lafiya Dole, Brigadier General, Abdul Ibrahim, among other very senior
officers.
