Shettima appoints new heads for college, agencies

Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state, yesterday, approved the appointment of Alhaji Abba Mala as the new Provost for Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri.
The governor also approved the appointment of a new Deputy Provost in the person of Alhaji Abdullahi Dala Hassan. Until his new appointment, Abba Mala was the Deputy Provost of the college while the new deputy provost (Dala Hassan) was the Dean, School of Art and Sciences of the college.
A statement issued yesterday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, said governor Shettima also approved the appointment of Engr Iya Kauni as the new General Manager, Borno state Agricultural Mechanisation Authority ( BISAMA).
Kaumi was BISAMA’s head of mechanical sector before her new appointment.
Similarly, the governor appointed Dr. Mustapha Mohammed Ali as the Executive Secretary, Borno state Pilgrims Welfare Board (BSPWB). Mohammed Ali was until his new appointment, a chief lecturer with the Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri.
The statement added that the former Executive Secretary of BSPWB, Alhaji Aja Bukar, has been re-assigned to the Borno State Local Government Pensions Board (BSLGPB) as the new Executive Secretary.
According to the statement, all appointments took effect from Monday, 20th November, 2017.
