Sheikh Jingir now Plateau Ulama’u Council boss

Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir has being confirmed as the substantive 1st co-chairman of the Plateau state chapter of the Ulama’u/ Elders Council.
The Council, in a press release issued by its secretary-general, Barrister Auwal Abdullahi, said the decision was reached after the council meeting in Jos.
It said: “It will be recalled that the Ulama’u /Elders Council in Plateau on May 25, 2015, lost its chairman, Sheikh Zakariyya Balarabe Dawud, whose position has remained vacant.
“Sequel to that the Council met, reiterated its regret and deep hearted sympathy over his death. We pray Allah to grant him Aljannatil Firdaus as permanent place of abode, amen (sic).”

Its further said “members have unanimously agreed that Sheikh Sani Yayaha Jingir is to lead its affairs as the 1st co-chairman; Sheikh Alhassan Saed Adam 2nd co-chairman, while Dr. Abdurrahman Lawal is now elected as the Council’s 3rd co-chairman in that order.”
It also commiserated with the management of a local Unity FM radio station over the razing of some parts of its transmission room.
“The Council also expressed its commiseration to the chairman, management and entire staff of the Unity FM Radio station over the ill-fated inferno.”
The Council prayed Allah to prevent its reoccurrence and also re-strengthen the organisation to stand even better than it was.
“While we appreciate the support and cooperation of the Muslim Ummah, we also seek better understanding and pray fervently for peace in the state and unity among the Ummah.”
