SERVICOM encourages MDAs with gift for citizens satisfaction

The Service Compact with Nigeria (SERVICOM Presidency), Tuesday decorated Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with different sorts of mouth watering gifts for their dedication in the delivering services timely, fairly, honestly, effectively and transparently, to which citizens are entitled.

Speaking to Journalists in Abuja, the CEO SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajameli said the initiative was to create more awareness amongst MDAs, as well as encourage healthy competition amongst SERVICOM staff.

“We have done a lot better in services, where it has truly improved. We are now able to reports to data, having great percentage of people who are now more citizens centered in the course of delivering services to citizens and their stakeholders.

“Through our advocacy, we have been able to harvest CEO’s, Ministers, Permanent Secretaries to our side and have open eyes of many especially the service providers in MDAs to see the reality of SERVICOM being the customer service arm of running government business. We have also worked very hard to raise campaigns create awareness to citizens connectedness in terms of touching the lives of Nigerians to improve on their livelihood and service that they expect and can get from government.”

According to her, that the support level of stakeholders should heighten up because, “Why we are celebrating those who are 75% and above by our evaluation of the functionalities of their service units and departments of their various agencies, we have in total this year, 39 of them over 100 and so we have more work to do. This is also activating competitiveness and healthy competition amongst the SERVICOM office and champions so we can have more people to come to the positive side.

Similarly, the CEO SERVICOM Presidency rated the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), fair, as having 3 stars over 5 stars from the SERVICOM evaluation report on Monday.

In response, the Chief Executive NMDPRA Engr. Farouq Ahmed,  lauded SERVICOM head and her team for their tireless commitment in advancing the economy from all sectors by being objective in their various tasks.
