Security: Protection of lives, property remains paramount to my administration-Kebbi governor

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi state, weekend said his administration will continue to strengthen the security of the state,  no matter how costly may be.

“We promised to protect the lives and property of our people. We have delivered and shall uphold continuity of ensuring security, peace and tranquility in the state”, Nasir said.

He made the remark weekend while addressing thousands of people at Argungu Township Stadium at the start of statewide thank-you-tour to local government areas.

“We want prayers from you to surmount all shreds of challenges of insecurity anywhere in Kebbi.

“Report suspicious movement or activity of strange persons in your area to the nearest authority, district or village heads, community leaders or any security personnel.

“The administration was confronted with insecurity matters in Kebbi south on assumption of power. God willing, we restored security in collaboration with the security services to Zuru and Yauri axis.

“People hitherto, who left their homes, have returned home to till their farmlands. Happily, bumper harvests were recorded for two years running and we give glory to God.

“The government will sustain the provision of necessary farm inputs to farmers to improve production,” he said.
