Sequel to the decision taken by the Kano emirate council to withdraw the title of Wazirin Kano conferred on Sheikh Nasir Mohammed Nasir during the reign of Ado Bayero, a new Waziri would be appointed by the new emir, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on Friday.
Sources close to the place told our correspondent that the name of Malam Saadu Shehu Gidado had been forwarded to the emir for his approval.
Gidado, who hailed from the famous Waziri ruling dynasty, is a renowned Islamic scholar who is eminently qualified to be conferred with the title.
