Sanusi bids Aero Contractors goodbye

Managing Director of Nigeria’s foremost aviation company, Aero Contractors, Capt Ado Sanusi

has stepped down from his position, it was gathered Wednesday.

Sanusi’s exit from the company took effect from December 31, 2020, having spent 4 years in the saddle.

One of Nigeria’s best trained pilots, he was appointed Managing Director of Aero Contractors on February 13, 2017 by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) to help revive the airline which was at the verge of collapse then.

AMCON has yet to confirm the departure of Sanusi nor has the federal government made any replacement.

The elsewhere Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency NAMA effected the turnaround of Aero Contractors by establishing a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) facility for the airline.

As pilot, he worked for various airlines and was type-rated on a variety of Boeing aircraft.

Ado Sanusi also was at Arik as a Captain on the Boeing 737-NG and later became the airline Trainer, a Chief Pilot and Vice President Flight Operations.
