Former Nigeria World Cup star, Sani Kaita, was the match winner for Enyimba on Sunday against Kaduna United prompting a teammate to describe him as “world class”.
Kaita, who has been lured back to the domestic league after sojourning in Europe, placed his shot well from the top of the box in the 36th minute for Enyimba to go in front at home against Kaduna United.
Enyimba forward Chimezie Amanfor, who watched the game from the stands, told AfricanFootball.com Kaita was a great act.
“Sani Kaita is a senior and great player. I applauded all his moves; he is a world class player,” he said.
Enyimba are now on 18 points from 13 matches.
In Warri, Gbolahan Salami was the match winner for Warri Wolves against Heartland, which before then had gone eight games unbeaten.
Salami hit target five after the interval and could have doubled the tally soon after only for him to throw away the opportunity.
Goals form Pierre Coly and Ighadalor Osagona gave Rangers a 2-0 home win over Crown FC and eased pressure on coach John Obuh.
Babangida Hassan scored the only goal as Giwa FC trampled on Gombe United 1 – 0 in Jos, while there were home wins Nembe City, Abia Warriors and FC Taraba.
