Sand Eagles braced for African test

Super Sand Eagles head coach Audu Adamu has told supersport.com that his team will be ready for the Caf Beach Soccer Championship in Seychelles.
Adamu, also known as Ejo, is confident that the Super Sand Eagles can pull themselves out of Group A against hosts Seychelles, Ivory Coast and Egypt.
“It’s not an easy group but I am confident we will make it out of the group,” said Adamu to supersport.com.
Nigeria’s Sand Eagles will kick off their campaign to qualify for the 2015 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal against hosts, Seychelles on April 14.
A day later, Adamu’s men will go up against the Egyptians and will round off their group games with a mouth-watering clash with Ivory Coast on April 16.
The Ivorians had defeated Nigeria 5-4 to be crowned champions of the 2014 Copa Lagos in December.
Adamu is unfazed that his team will have to put up with the Ivorians again in less than four months after the defeat in Lagos.
“That [defeat] was a lesson for us, so we will be ready this time. Our target is to qualify for the World Cup,” he said.
The 2015 Caf Beach Soccer Championship will take place at the Roche Caiman Sports Complex in Seychelles from April 14 to 19.
Ghana, Madagascar, Morocco and Senegal are the other participating nations at the tournament. They are drawn in Group B.
