RTEAN calls for free, compulsory education

The road transport employers association of Nigeria, (RTEAN),has  called on state holders to wake up to the ideals as well as benefits of free compulsory  education as a panacea to solving Nigeria’s economic woes. The national president of RTEAN, Alhaji shelu Isiwele, made this known when the National Association of Nigerian students.  Presented him with a peace ambassadors award in

Abuja Government has the means to institute free and compulsory education at all levels or our education system. People   like Obafemi Awolowo, Ambrose Ali and others institutes    free education during their time and this produced many intellectuals for this produced country,’ Isiwele maintained.

He stressed that there should be no discrimination when it comes to the distribution of educational facilities, which he said is always procured with tax- payer’s money
The RTEAN President called on Nigerians to eschew peace and togetherness as this is capable of putting food on the table of Nigerians and create more job opportunities for youths.

The senate president of NANS and leader of the delegation,   comrade Dauda Kareem, regretted the prevalence of dilapidated infrastructure at all levels of Nigeria’s learning institutions, while calling on government and well meaning Nigerians to redeem the falling standards of education, by providing a more education facilities, to enable youths and the country in particular meet up with the challenges of fast developing  world.
