The crisis that has engulfed the Rivers State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) weekend deepened as  the Rivers State Police Command concludes plan to appoint Care Taker Committee to oversee its affairs.
Rivers state Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Tunde Ogunsakin, made the disclosure while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt.
He said, that as a result of petitions and complains from members of the PCRC in the state, the command has resolved to set up a Care Taker Committee pending the completion of investigation into the crisis.

The Police boss further disclosed that PCRC executive in the state has also been dissolved, noting that the committee members are members of the police family hence the command would not fold its hands and watch some persons destroy the good image of the police force.
He said anybody found wanting, no matter how highly placed, would face the full wrath of the law, even as he maintained that the PCRC is a veritable tool to move the state.
