A group of ministers of God from different states of the federation under the umbrella Nigeria Rescue Missionaries for Good Governance would soon organise a national atonement summit where Nigerians of all walks of life and different religions, numbering over 30,000, are expected to talk directly to God for His intervention.
This is coming on the heels of the just concluded summit held by the ministers in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
President of the group, Pastor C.D Jacobs, who is the General Overseer of New Wave Assembly, Owerri, said the initiative became necessary “as Nigerians who have been suffering and crying for some time now would be rescued by the Almighty God.”
He said both Christians and Muslims belonged to God and that because of too much suffering, crying, and poverty in the country God gathered them to rescue the people.

He said: “As we talk to God, we liaise with the government and let them know that Nigerians need better lives as many Nigerians today are experiencing bitter lives. We are also praying to God to have mercy and help our leaders because everything lies on leadership, our president and governors, for God to have compassion and don’t allow them to die. We are ministers who love God and our country and we condemn all evils in the country.”

The Man of God who also spoke on the poverty of the poor, wondered why there still existed the poor masses or why people were still being referred to as poor masses instead of the rich masses, despite the fact that those poor people made the rich during election as they sought their votes in the grassroots.
He regretted that the power of their votes was not revealed to them rather the poverty of the poor was used against the people as peanuts were given to them in return to their block votes.
