The Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) Wednesday said its attention has been drawn to an online social media report of a purported local government election timetable that allegedly emanated from the commission.
A statement issued Wednesday by the director information, BOSIEC, Zara Alhassan said the executive chairman of the commission, Alhaji Abdu Usman, said the document is fake.
The commission called on the public to ignore it saying valid documents regarding local government election would emanate from the commission after following due process.
He advised the good people of Borno and its environs to disregard rumour.
