Remo Stars on Sunday night clinched their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title after a 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes.
Olamilekan Adedayo scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute to spark wild celebrations.
The Ogun-based club made history as the first privately owned club to win the title since Udoji United achieved the feat in 1996.
It is also the first time a South West club has claimed the title since the now-defunct Julius Berger won it two decades ago.
The Ikenne-based club sit atop the standings with 68 points from 35 matches.
Second-placed Rivers United have accumulated 58 points from the same number of games.
