Remi Tinubum, others to grace FOMWAN’s 38th annual conference in Sokoto

As part of its contributions to support the government’s effort on education, health and humanitarian sectors, the Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) says it has built 6 functional hospitals across the six geopolitical zones in the country.

The Association’s National Ameera, Haiiya Rafiat Idowu Sanni, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen, Thursday, said preparations for the 38th annual national conference of the group which will begin today, Friday, November 24, saying orphanage centres for motherless baby and vulnerable children were constructed by the women organization.

Hajiya Rafiat said the association with passion for children will discuss the state of the nation with regard to the life styles of the Nigerian children

The Ameera also said the Association will focus on societal reorientation with emphasis on moral values, economic empowerment and the nation’s overall development.

She also said His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto and the wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and that of the Vice President Kashim Shettima are expected to grace the conference.

Besides, scholars such as Professor Ishaq Olanrewaju Oloyede and other seasoned academics invited to deliver lectures and addresses, are optimistic that the conference will come up with fruitful outcomes.

She said FOMWAN has territorial spread in the 700 of the 774 local government areas of the country.
