Some senior figures at Real Madrid believe the club should sign Victor Osimhen and not Kylian Mbappe, according to FootballTransfers.
The feeling is that Osimhen is a player closer in style to Karim Benzema and he’s more suited to the way Madrid play football.
FootballTransfers has been told by a well-connected source that “the more mature and wise people at Madrid” believe that Osimhen represents a better bet for the club.
The Napoli striker, who is also a top target for several Premier League clubs, will also cost the Spanish club less than Mbappe because of the huge bonuses and signing-on fees they will have to cough out for the France World Cup star.
Mbappe will join Madrid as a free agent if he does not sign for Ligue 1 club PSG at the end of his current contract.
He has been linked with the Spanish giants since 2017, when he joined PSG from Monaco
