As part of his annual Ramadan Programme and to cushion the effect of the current lockdown in the state, the Senator representing Gombe central senatorial district, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, has donated two trucks of rice to his constituents.
The beneficiaries of the donation are orphans, underprivileged, widows, physically challenged, traditional rulers as well as religious leaders drawn from his Gombe central constituency.
Personal Assistant to the Senator on New Media, Muhammad Adamu Yayari, disclosed this while distributing the items to the beneficiaries at the Goje’s residence. The senator’s aide charged the committees in charge of the distribution at wards level to ensure judicial distribution of the rice.
He also appealed to Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to offer special prayers for God’s intervention in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
