Ramadan: Matawalle donates N500m to Zamfara APC members, vulnerable groups

Zamfara state former governor and Minister of State Defense, Hon. Bello Mohamed Matawalle, has donated the sum of N500 million to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and less privileged as part of his Ramadan relief packages. 

This was made known by the Special adviser office of the minister on political matters, Ibrahim Danmaliki, while addressing newsmen in Gusau Thursday. 

According to him, 200 beneficiaries were selected in each of the 14 local government councils who benefited the sum of N100,000 each. 

He further hinted that the sum of N86 million was also shared among the APC stakeholders, noting that 24 stakeholders were selected from each of the local government in Zamfara west where the minister Matawalle came from who benefited the sum of N250,000 Naira each. 

Hon. Danmaliki further pointed out that ten stakeholders were also selected in each of the local government council from Zamfara North and Zamfara Central Senatorial Zones who benefited the sum of  250,000 Naira each as Matawalle’s relief packages for them to observed their Ramadan fasting with ease . 

I want to categorically stated that, 280 people benefited the sum of N100,000 each which cost the minister the sum of 280 million Naira and also the sum of N86 million Naira has been shared among the APC stakeholders under Matawalle’s Ramadan Fasting relief packages in the state”. Danmaliki stated.

He said the gesture is aimed at cushioning the ⁰socioeconomic hardship among people during this month of Ramadan.

“The gesture will be extended to APC officials, all the political office holders ranging from special advisers, directors General who served under Matawalle’s administration when he was the governor of Zamfara.
