Ramadan/Lent: Group urges Christians, Muslims to pray for Tinubu

The chairman of Tinubu/ Shettima 619 Coalition Groups, Ambassador Abdulmumin Salau, Thursday,  called on both the Muslim Ummah and Christians to use the ongoing fasting period in committing President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his team to  Almighty God in their onerous task of nation building.

A statement made available to Blueprint in Abuja and signed by Amb. Salau, urged  Muslims and Christians across the country in the ongoing  Ramadan and Lent to pray for the continuous success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dr. Suleiman Salau is a lecturer with the National Open University of Nigeria as well as Abdulkadir Kure University of Education, Niger state as well as the Chief Imam of  Nuru-Udeen.

In a lecture titled: “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision and quest for Nigerian greatness,” he prayed  for the success of President Tinubu’s presidency in taking Nigeria to higher pedestal as well as using the opportunity to give necessary support in the task of nation-building.

“Both religions observing fasting at the same time is not a mistake by Almighty. We should therefore continually use the opportunity to continue to foster the cause of national unity and integration. By so doing, we shall continually make our great country Nigeria an indivisible and indestructible entity where peace and justice is upheld, ” He stated.

He urged all members of Tinubu/Shettima 619 Coalition Groups globally to continue to popularise President  Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda from ward to the federal level.

“Moreso, from our assessment, less than two years in the life of President Tinubu’s presidency, he has brought hope to ordinary Nigerians for a better tomorrow, as most of his core initiatives are aimed at the future as once posited by Winston Churchill, ex-British prime minister who posited that: “The glory of the future is better than the history of yesterday.”

He added: “Fundamentally, we at Tinubu/ Shettima 619 Groups, agreed and concurred with President Tinubu’s wise saying, which  he earlier asserted that: “After darkness comes a glorious dawn.”
