A community leader in Masaka, a town in neighbouring Nasarawa state, Ambassador William Yaji, has enjoined Muslim youths in the country to embrace peace for the sake of security of lives and property of the citizenry.
Yaji, who gave the advice at the weekend while braking fast with some Muslim youths in his house, charged them to use this month of Ramadan to pray for peace and harmony of the nation, adding that “no country can move forward without the atmosphere of peace.”
Yaji pleaded with the federal government to find a lasting solution to the current security problems bedeviling the country.
He said: “Peace is the ultimate in this country, the youths has the power to change Nigeria for better. This month of Ramadan is an opportunity for us to have new lives. Let us pray to Allah so that what we are facing today can be change for us permanently.”
He also called on the youth to always shun any form of vice and engage themselves in any kind of handiwork that would benefit them in the future.
