RAAMP project key to agriculture in Yobe – Commissioner

The Yobe state Commissioner of agriculture and natural resources, Alhaji Ali Mustapha Goneri, says Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) is key to the people of Yobe state.

The Commissioner made this known during a one day roads sector reform meeting with stakeholders organized RAAMP as pat of plan to accelerate construction and rehabilitation of critical rural roads in the state.

The Commissioner stated that RAAMP is a project that would provide accessible roads to rural people for the delivery of their farms produce to market.

“We appreciates this project and we are welcoming it in Yobe state.We are going to work with them very closely in order to provide access roads to rural communities in Yobe,” he said.

Also speaking, during Yobe state RAAMP Programme Coordinator, Arc. Musa Sule Damagum, commended the efforts of Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for supporting the project for the betterment of the state.

He said the road sector reform meeting was to discus with the stakeholders to have their opinion on how to go about the implementation of the project in the state.

Damagum used the forum and called on the stakeholders to judiciously contribute their ideas and vast of experiences for the effective take off of the RAAMP project for the benefits of the people of the state.
