Some residents took to the streets of Kano on Wednesday following the controversial Certified True Copy (CTC) of Appeal Court judgement on Kano state governorship election, which affirmed the victory of Abba Kabiru Yusuf as duly elected Governor of the state.
This is just as the security operatives wasted no time in dispersing the protesters and ensured that the peace prevailing in the state was not jeopardized.
Some youths who felt aggrieved by the controversial judgement, resolved to protest.
It was learnt that the prompt arrival of security operatives quenched the tension-soaked protest, which could have turned to compounded already tension in the State.
Reacting, the state Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), SP Haruna Kiyawa, said; “he was not in town, promised to get in touch as soon he got the authentic information on it”.
