Power: KE alerts the public of recruitment scams

Kaduna Electric (KE) has warned members of the public, particularly job seekers, to be wary of scammers misinforming the public of an ongoing recruitment exercise by the company.
A statement signed the by the Head, Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdulrauf, said the recruitment exercise embarked upon by the company some months ago had been successfully concluded and that no such exercise was currently ongoing.

The statement said the company was aware that some mischief makers had been taking advantage of the desperation of many job seekers and spreading the wrong information that a recruitment portal had been opened by the company where candidates were to apply for various jobs.
It further said that there was no truth to such information and urged the public to ignore any such call and also not to pay money to anyone for access to the purported recruitment portal or anyone promising to secure them appointments with the KE.

The company said it shall announce in the future when it would be conducting another round of recruitment through various media channels for interested candidates to apply.
“The just concluded exercise saw the engagement of over 3,000 new staff who have been successfully inducted and trained before they commenced work with the company. The recruitment will help Kaduna Electric which operates in Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states to continue to deliver qualitative services to its customers,” it said.
