Police uncover human parts market in Kwara

A criminal dungeon, believed to be the hideout for people dealing in sales of human parts, has been discovered in some blocks of uncompleted building along Airport/ Eyenkorin Road near NASFAT village, a suburb of Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The building where the evil acts was being perpetrated, the Kwara state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ambrose Aisabor, said is owned by an 85-year-old woman.

Our correspondent, who visited the ritualists’ dungeon, reports that the place was still littered with at least three decomposed headless human bodies, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) caps, female bras, and sandals.
The state Commissioner of Police who briefed journalists in Ilorin at the Police Headquarters, said the “discovery of the criminal dungeon was possible due to high level intelligence information from the good people of the state.”
He said: “The command’s special undercover agents on June 28, 2014, at about 0700hrs while acting on a highly potent intelligence discovered some suspected to be hide-out for criminals dealing in human parts.

“When we visited the place, we discovered a bizarre scenario, among the items recovered is decomposed headless body, human feet, snail shell, clothes suspected to be used in strangulating their victims.
“I think that place is used as market where people who are involved in ritual activities buy human parts, investigation is still going.”
Aisabor, however, said no arrest had been made in connection the discovery.

“The owner of the building has been known; she is an 85-year-old woman. We are interrogating her, may be as investigation progresses we are going to make some arrests.”
The CP urged the people of the state to continue to provide the police with useful information that would assist in riding the state of criminals.
“Information is coming to us, we are making good use of them, and we want to assure them that we are going to protect them. We count on the good people of the state.”
