Police in Nasarawa state have uncovered a kidnappers’ hideout. The hideout was raided with three victims rescued in Gitata village in Karu local government area.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that a commercial vehicle carrying three passengers-a woman and two men-was attacked along the Keffi-Kaduna highway, with the occupants forcibly taken into the bush.
“Acting on this information, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) SP Zaks Wambai, mobilised officers to the scene. The operatives combed the area, dislodged the kidnappers from their hideout and rescued the victims unharmed.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended the officers for their swift and diligent response and ensuring the safe rescue of the victims.
He also urged all security agencies to intensify efforts in combating criminal activities across the state.
