Police promote, decorate 84 officers in Borno  

  

Borno state Police Commissioner Yusufu Mohammad Lawan, Wednesday decorated  84 newly promoted police officers at the Police Command  Headquarters, Maiduguri.

He said the promoted officers include  10  Superintendent of Police (SPs) to  Chief Superinfection of Police (CSP),  11 Deputy Superintendent  of Police (DSPs) to Superintendent of Police (SP) and  63 Assistant Superintendent  of Police  (ASPs)  to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

The decoration which was conducted by the commissioner and assisted by the DCP Administration, ACP Operations, Crack,  RRS, Admin, etc  as well as wives and relations of the  promoted and decorated police officers.

The CP also extended his heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the chairman Police of the  Police  Service Commission (PSC) , DIG Hashimu Argungu ( rtd). 

“Your new rank is a reflection of your leadership skills, strategic thinking and ability to inspire your colleagues. As you celebrate your promotions, I urge you to remember that with greater ranks, come greater responsibilities.

“The recent promotion of 84 of our officers to their next rank is a testament to their hardwork, dedication, and commitment to serving our great nation,” Lawan said.
