Police arrest teacher, principal  for ‘assaulting 15-year-old student in Lagos’

Operatives of  the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a school teacher and a principal for allegedly assaulting a 15 -year-old student in Lagos. 

The teacher and the principal identified as Kayode Abolarin and Atueyin Martins respectively are of Okota Junior Grammar School .

According to the command’s spokesperson, a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident on Tuesday, the mother of the assaulted student reported the incident to the police.

He said it resulted in the loss of three of the victim’s teeth.

“Upon receiving the report, the police promptly arrested the suspects and they are currently assisting the Police in its investigations into the incident which took place in the school premises,” he said.

He assuresd Lagosians that justice will be served, as the suspects will be arraigned accordingly at the conclusion of investigations. 

However, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos state Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, reassures the people of Lagos that the Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone and will continue to address criminal and security matters with the utmost urgency and professionalism they deserve.
