The ASP said that on the same date an argument ensued between John Akor, 50, of the Federal Fire Service, Abuja, and Akogwu Noah, 51, of the National Hospital, Abuja.
Okechukwu said they were in a merry drinking mood bar situated at Gado Nasko Road, and that as a result of the slight argument the suspect used a broken empty bottle to stab the deceased on the neck that resulted in the death of the victim.
“Once you are under the influence of an alcohol and an augment broke out between you and you’re drinking partners, this is always the end result of the effect of what you will get from alcohol,” he said.
The victim was immediately rushed to the General Hospital Kubwa where the doctors on duty confirmed him dead.
“The suspect will soon be arraigned in court for culpable homicide,” Okechukwu said.
The Police had begun investigations into the matter as the corpse had been deposited in a mortuary.
However, Okechukwu has urged everyone who must drink, should drink moderately to avoid uncertainty of this nature in killing or fighting one another.
