Police arrest 3 suspects, recover 137 stolen cattle

Policemen attached to the Airport Division of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command with the assistance of the vigilance group in the area have arrested three men for allegedly stealing 137 cattle.

According to a police source, these men who were identified as Adamu Ibrahim, Isyaku Ibrahim and Babangida Ibrahim were arrested acting on a tip off at Alaya Airport Road on their way with the stolen cattle.

The 137 suspected stolen cattle were, however, recovered from the suspects.
The source said they would be arraigned in court as soon as investigation was completed.
In another similar development, on the Febuary 17, five cattle rustlers attacked one Mr. Dula Dabunje’s home at Barongoni Village of Bwari, Abuja and made away with 20 of his cattle.

Blueprint gathered that acting on a tip off the Police Patrol Team attached to the area swiftly deployed to arrest the ugly situation.
Then police source said the hoodlums were trailed and sighted at Karaku Bush near Kabusu in Nasarawa state.

“After fierce gun duel with the police personnel, the 20 rustled cows and two lifeless bodies of the hoodlums were recovered,” the police source said.
However, it was learnt that three of the hoodlums escaped with bullet wounds.
The police personnel said efforts are being intensified to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.
