Twenty five suspects, including a security guard were Wednesday arraigned before an Oyo state Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ibadan for allegedly killing an undergraduate student of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.
The suspects which comprised mainly of students of the university were charged for conspiracy, to wit, murder of a 22-yr -old undergraduate student identified as Mr. Jeffrey Akro.
Police prosecutor, CSP Funke Fawole, told the court that the late 22-year- old student was allegedly tortured to death by the suspects on Monday 24 May, 2024 at the institution’s campus in Oyo.
CSP Fawole stated that the said undergraduate was allegedly beaten to death with planks and wire while a male porter identifies as Kehinde Olabusuyi failed in his responsibility to rescue the deceased from the enraged students.
