Planned protest: Resolve your differences, FWF tells NLC, TUC

The national coordinator, Federal Workers Forum (FWF), Comrade Andrew Emelieze, Thursday asked the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to settle their differences and speak with one voice.

Comrade Emelieze who gave the charge in a statement, kicked against the stand of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) president, Tommy Etim Okon on the planned two- day protest by the labour unions.

The FWF national coordinator pointed out that Okon cannot speak on behalf of workers, adding that “his address against the planned two- day protest is illegitimate and a sabotage against the working people of Nigeria.

Comrade Emelieze said: “The Nigerian workers are fully ready for the two- day protest. On our part as federal workers, we shall ensure that all federal government secretariats nationwide are totally shut down.

“Etim cannot speak on behalf of workers. His address against the planned two-day protest is illegitimate and a sabotage against the working people of Nigeria. Etim is talking to himself, he is on his own,” he said.
