Pep salutes ‘legend’ Aguero

Pep Guardiola hailed Sergio Aguero “a legend” after he became Manchester City’s all-time leading scorer in their 4-2 victory at Napoli.
The Argentine scored his 178th goal for the club – one more than Eric Brook’s tally – as City qualified for the knockout phase of the Champions League with two games to spare.
“When one guy has achieved all he has achieved then its big congratulations go to him, his team-mates he has played with and managers,” Guardiola told his post-match press conference.
“It’s a big record for him. He is a legend for the club and their history. He has to enjoy it and everybody has to be proud of that.”
City did not have things their own way at the atmospheric Stadio San Paulo as Lorenzo Insigne fired Napoli ahead before Jorginho levelled the contest after Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones had given the visitors the lead.
Guardiola heaped praise on his side, who extended their unbeaten start to the season to 13 games.
“We cannot expect to control 90 minutes, we are going to suffer,” the City boss added.
“The point is how going to overcome and react to that situation.
“We did it twice, after 1-0 and after 2-2. That’s why I’m so pleased.”
