Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state, Mr Damishi Luka-Barau, said yesterday that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), would win the governorship seat in the 2015 general elections.
Luka-Barau, who said this while speaking with journalists in Lafia, stressed that his party winning the forth coming governorship race in the state was non-negotiable.

He said: “If the people are noticing the wind of change, happenings around the state  in the recent time, one would have no doubt that PDP will surely take over the state from APC come 2015.

“With the strong structures of PDP on ground and the thousands of those that decamped from other political parties in the state, we will win the 2015 governorship election.

“PDP had already built its structures in order to capture its governorship and to as well deliver the state for President Goodluck Jonathan and other seats in the state come 2015.”
He said with the “developmental strides” of the previous PDP government, people would vote massively for the party in the 2015 general elections.
“I am appealing to our aggrieved members who left for other political parties, to see the need of returning home.”

He said the required machinery was on ground to ensure level play field to all members “of our great party in the state.”
Damishi-Luka, however, appealed to all those that defected to the PDP and old members of to give their maximum support to the party and to work tirelessly to ensure that PDP win the governorship seat in 2015.

He also cleared the air on why he dumped the APC for the PDP, saying that “I did not register as a member of the APC when my former party, the CPC, merged with the APC.”
