Gombe state Peoples Democratic Party’s stalwart and a renowned business tycoon, Alhaji Bala Bello Tinka, has called on the youth’s wing of the party to go back to the ideals and philosophies of the party’s founding fathers if the party desires to regain its lost glory and emerge victorious in the 2019 general elections.
The PDP chieftain said the youth must wake up and emulate their contemporaries in other climes by taking over challenging leadership positions both within the party and their respective states.
“It’s a fact that, at the global level, the stage is changing with the recent elections of youths to steer the affairs of their respective countries. The wind of change that ushered in a young set of leaders in France, Macedonia, Bhutan, Qatar, Canada, Austria, and San Marino in Europe is a classic example of youth’s bravery and penchant for leadership,” he said.
Tinka made the remarks when delivering his speech as the guest speaker during the just-concluded 2017 PDP National Youth Conference at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
