All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna state has accused Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of plot to destabilise the party by committing 150 million naira to some members.
The party said it unraveled the plot and had contained what it said ‘divisive’ plot to weak the party ahead of 2015 elections.
The state organising secretary of the party, Barrister J.D. Ephraim, who spoke to newsmen on behalf of the Interim Management Committee, said PDP days were numbered in the state, noting that no plot would succeed against the party.
Ephraim, a governorship running-mate in 2011 elections, said: “We have it on good authority that the PDP have contracted some people with about N150 million to cause confusion in our party. The plot is to ensure that there is no stability, cohesion and demobilise our capacity. It is clearly divisive moves.
Ephraim added: “Their purpose is to strengthen their blackmail campaign against us that we are a Muslim party and all those nonsense, but the people rejected and keep asking fundamental questions. What have you done with our resources? Why is it that there is no development? These questions they cannot answer and we will surprise them.”
As at the time of this report, the chairman of PDP in the state, Chief Abubakar Gaya Haruna, was said to be away, but would officially respond to the allegation.
